With many of our favorite TV shows being spread around various channels and services, it’s hard to keep track of which are returning at what time. While some TV shows have returned already, as early as January 2019, there are other shows making a comeback in the later part of 2019 that we’re looking forward to, including:

Game of Thrones (Season 8)

This year, we’re going back to the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros to follow new battles for the Iron Throne. Game of Thrones is based on the A Song of Ice and Fire best-selling book series by George R. R. Martin. It brings to life the brutal clashes among the most powerful families in the mythic land of Westeros and also follows the supernatural threat from the northern lands on the other side of the Wall. Will Daenerys Targaryen, the exiled princess, finally claim the Iron Throne? Find out in the eighth season of this mythic tale, premiering on the fourteenth of April on HBO.

Big Little Lies (Season 2)

Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley are back in the second season of HBO’s Golden Globe–winning dark comedy show Big Little Lies. The show is based on Liane Moriarty’s best-selling book and focuses on the three women in the seemingly idyllic seaside town of Monterey, California, as they get wrapped up in a murder investigation. The story shows how lies shared among small communities can get out of hand and become violent real quick.

Stranger Things (Season 3)

Written and directed by the Duffer brothers, Stranger Things, a show about friendship, family, mystery, and the supernatural returns in 2019 with its third season. Stranger Things is a true homage to the ’80s and puts emphasis to even the smallest details – the pacing, acting, music, atmosphere, everything takes you back through time. It premieres on Netflix on July 4, so prepare to face the Upside Down one more time.

Mindhunter (Season 2)

Mindhunter returns to Netflix with the second season that follows Jonathan Groff as Holden Ford and Holt McCallany as Bill Tench, two FBI agents set to find motives that go beyond the established MMO category. The two agents continue to develop a completely new field that delves deep into the sociopathic minds of criminals in their murder investigations that helps them solve open cases.

The Expanse (Season 4)

This science fiction masterpiece that set out as a sci-fi detective noir in the first season delved deep into the political narrative, character development, and conspiracy in the second and third season, The Expanse is set to return in 2019 with the fourth season. This show continues to follow an unlikely crew set out to save humanity from a conspiracy and political goals that could spell doom for the whole solar system. Catch the new season on Amazon Prime.
